Evaluation of Comprehensive School Counseling Model Programs

The Wisconsin School Counselor Program Accountability Report (WSCPAR)

The WSCPAR is a voluntary continuous improvement process that documents evidence of the impact of a comprehensive, equitable, data driven school counseling program. The WSCPAR was developed by WSCA through an advisory group of Wisconsin school counselors and is aligned with the ASCA National Model and the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP).

Self-evaluation through the WSCPAR leads to analysis, reflection, action planning and promotion, addressing:

  • how students are different as a result of the school counseling program;
  • implementation efforts of the ASCA National Model, Wisconsin’s adopted comprehensive school counseling program;
  • continuous change improvement plans for academic, career, and social emotional growth of students; and
  • communication of the comprehensive school counseling program and its impact to key education stakeholders.

Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP)

School Counseling programs that are comprehensive, data driven and align tightly with the ASCA National Model may submit a RAMP application to earn the RAMP designation for an exemplary school counseling program. RAMP applications must be submitted by a school team, rather than a district team or by one school counselor on a school school counseling team. The submission is a culmination of a year-long program implementation process.
