The Professional Development Plan (PDP)

Completion of a Professional Development Plan (PDP) is required by PI 34 for the licensing situations listed below.

• Advancement of an Initial Educator License to the Professional Educator License.
  Initial Educator Licenses have a license type of 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26 or 27.
• Renewal of a Professional Educator License (for educators who advanced from the Initial Educator license stage).
  These Professional Educator Licenses have a license type of 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 or 36.
  

Completion of a PDP is optional for professional educators who were licensed or eligible for licensure in a specific license category (teaching, administrative, pupil services) prior to September 1, 2004. The PDP process satisfies the professional growth requirement for renewal of those licenses.

• Summary of options for meeting the professional growth requirement for license renewal if your educator preparation program was completed prior to September 1, 2004. (license types 40, 41, 42, 43 or 44.)
