FAQ for SPR ReportingWEB SITE FOR THE SPR WEB-BASED DATA COLLECTION APPLICATION The URL or web address for the SPR data collection application is: You must have the appropriate passwords to access the web site for your school or district. OBTAINING PASSWORDS TO ENTER SPR DATA Make sure you are using the correct password because the SPR, 1202 (staff report), and 1290 (enrollment report) each use a different password. Passwords were mailed to the School Performance Report Contact in your district on June 3, 2003. If you did not receive a password, check with your School Performance Report Contact or contact the School Performance Report Help Desk at dpispr@dpi.wi.gov. Be sure to include your phone number. CHECKING TO SEE IF YOUR SPR DATA HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE DPI For those of you who want to check to see if your SPR data has been submitted to the DPI, here's how you do it. At the "Welcome" screen, click on the yellow "Go to District Administration Screen" button.
I noticed there are erroneous enrollment numbers for a school in my district. Where did those numbers come from? How can I change them? Your district reported those enrollment numbers in its PI-1290 Fall Enrollment Report. You cannot change the numbers or erroneous gender or race/ethnicity designations through the School Performance Report. It is critically important that you review the enrollment numbers each fall before the enrollment data is submitted to DPI. Once the enrollment data has been "frozen," it cannot be changed through the SPR or any other application. What is needed to lock the data? You will need to place a minimum of .5 in possible and actual day under Section I-(Grade) and Section II (Gender/Ethnicity) or more depending on the number of students. Then report the correct numbers under possible and actual day in Section I (Grade) and Section II (Gender/Ethnicity). When your district publishes the report you will need to make a note of the discrepancy. ATTENDANCE The district/school should count all students who attend their schools, especially if they were included in the third Friday enrollment count (PI 1290). So, attendance for
OPEN ENROLLMENT STUDENTS For purposes of the School Performance Report, open enrollment students are counted by the school district they attend. PRINTING SCHOOL-LEVEL REPORTS To print Attendance (ATT), Habitual Truants (HTR) or Retentions (RET) for all schools, log on as a district and click on the "Go to the District Administration screen" button. Select "All" or the range of schools you would like printed. Click on one of the blue links, "ATT", "HTR" or "RET". From the menu bar at the top of your screen, press the printer icon or select "File, Print". For all other reports or to print one school at a time, log on as a district and go to the District Administration screen. Select "All" or the range of schools you would like printed. Click on the "Welcome Screen" link in the turquoise box. Under, "Select SPR subject for data entry", choose the report you wish to print. Tab to, "Indicate the method for entering data", and select "On-line (via Web)". Click on the name of the school whose data you wish to print. From the menu bar at the top of your screen, press the printer icon or select "File, Print".
