Statistical Information Center - School Staff and Salary Data.Public School DataSCHOOL STAFF AND SALARY DATAAll School Staff and Salary data contained in the following reports has been submitted to the Department of Public Instruction by the school districts. On submittal districts approve the data as correct. The Department does not audit this data. If anomalies are found, please contact the district directly. This report is generated from data collected annually as of the third Friday in September on the PI-1202 Fall Staff Report. Data are arranged in columns that include: hire district code, district name, work district, work district code, work county code, work county name, work CESA, work location, work school code, full name, last name, birth year, gender, race, local experience, total experience, high degree, position type, position code, position title, assignment code, assignment, prorated salary, prorated fringe, position FTE, total FTE, days employed. Average Salary Report for Teachers This report is generated from data submitted by education agencies annually as of the third Friday in September on the PI-1202 Fall Staff Report. The report only provides data for public school districts. Omitted from this report are the following:
The report provides the low salary, high salary, average salary, average fringe, average local experience, and average total experience for staff in each public school district. Data is based on the full-time equivalent (FTE) sum of an individual's position within the range of 95-149 percent FTE and who has days of contract greater than 159.
Staff by Ethnicity and Gender Report Staff data is collected annually as of the third Friday in September on the PI-1202 Fall Staff Report. The reports provide data based on ethnicity and gender for staff positions. These reports are available at the district or state level. The reports are available based on administrative positions (examples: district administrator, principal, director of special education) or licensed positions (examples: guidance counselor, school psychologist, teacher).
This file is provided on request as a comprehensive record of all staff reported working in the Wisconsin K-12 Public School System during a regular school year. All public education agencies are included. Each record represents one assignment. Staff persons may have more than one assignment, but can be uniquely identified by ID number. Salary and Fringe (Employee Benefit) information is duplicated if they have more than one assignment. The file is about 99.5 MB in size and is compressed (it is in a self-extracting zipped file). After it is unzipped, the file produced is in ASCII text, fixed-column format. There are about 175,000 records. Please read the documentation for exact file name, file layout, etc. Before unzipping, copy the executable file to your hard drive.
