In an effort to give everyone an idea of what to watch for over the next 2 or 3 weeks here is our plan:

We will be setting up an MS Live CWCS Phase 2 Vendor Conference (this will be schedule to take place the last week of October or first week in November) dependent on participant availability.
Now onto the CWCS Phase 2 Special Education reporting guidelines. The subject matter experts have documented multiple scenarios that breakdown how course and teacher records should be setup and submitted. If you find this helpful please let us know!
SY2011-12 Special Education Guidelines for CWCS Phase 2 Reporting
1. General Education Teacher
- General Education Classroom
- General Education Curriculum
- The general education teacher teaches all students with and without disabilities enrolled in a general education course/curriculum in the general education classroom.
- The general education teacher assigns the grades to all students.
- The general education teacher reports all students.
Submission Instructions:
The general education teacher reports all students with and without disabilities as a section/course assignment with the general education teacher as the single teacher.
Course and Teacher Record Example:
1) SectionCourse_ID_1_Students_with_and_without_Disabilities
- Teacher Role is; Single teacher = general education teacher
2. General Education Teacher/Special Education Teacher
- General Education Classroom
- General Education Curriculum
- The general education teacher teaches all students with and without disabilities enrolled in a general education course/curriculum in the general education classroom.
- The special education teacher supports students with disabilities in the general education course/curriculum in the general education classroom.
- The general education teacher assigns grades to all students.
- The general education teacher reports all students.

Course and Teacher Record Example:

3. General Education Teacher/Special Education Teacher
- Outside General Education Classroom
- General Education Curriculum
- The general education teacher teaches all students with and without disabilities enrolled in a general education course/curriculum in the general education classroom.
- The special education teacher provides support outside the general education classroom to the students with disabilities for this general education course/curriculum.
- The general education teacher assigns grades to all students (with and without disabilities).
- The general education teacher reports all students.
Submission Instructions:
The general education teacher reports all students with and without disabilities as a section/course assignment with the general education teacher as the single teacher.
Course and Teacher Record Example:

- Teacher Role is; Single teacher = general education teacher
4. Special Education Teacher
- Outside General Education Classroom
- General Education Curriculum
- The special education teacher teaches students with disabilities in the general education course/curriculum outside the general education classroom.
- The special education teacher assigns grades to students with disabilities.
- The special education teacher reports students with disabilities.

5. Special Education Teacher

- The special education teacher teaches students with significant cognitive disabilities who receive an alternative curriculum, and participate in the state alternative assessment, in the general education classroom.
- The special education teacher assigns the grades to students with disabilities.
- The special education teacher reports only students with disabilities.

The special education teacher reports all students with disabilities as a section/course assignment as the single teacher.

6. Special Education Teacher
- Outside General Education Classroom
- Alternative Curriculum
- The special education teacher teaches students with significant cognitive disabilities who receive an alternative curriculum, and participate in the state alternative assessment, outside the general education classroom.
- The special education teacher assigns the grades to students with disabilities.
- The special education teacher reports students with disabilities.
Submission Instructions:
The special education teacher reports all students with disabilities as a section/course assignment as the single teacher.
Course and Teacher Record Example:
1) SectionCourse_ID_1_Students_with_Disabilities
- Teacher Role is; Single teacher = special education teacher
Students
- Report students with disabilities enrolled in general education courses/curriculum.
- Report students with significant cognitive disabilities who receive an alternative curriculum, and who participate in the state alternative assessment.
- Report students with disabilities in grades 4K through 12.
- Do not report students with disabilities in grades 3K or PK.
- Do not report students with disabilities who reside at residential care centers or receive instruction at day treatment centers.
- Do not report students with disabilities enrolled at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf (WSD), the Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (WCBVI), Lakeland School, or Syble Hopp School.
