SUBJECT: WSLS / ISES Fall 2011 Training Update

PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL STAFF WORKING WITH WSLS OR ISES.

WSLS and ISES Training sessions will be offered from August 15 through September 8. We encourage staff new to the WSLS and ISES to attend the session 'An Introduction to the WSLS and ISES Data Collections.' Seasoned WSLS and ISES staff are encouraged to attend 'WSLS & ISES Update for Fall 2011.' These sessions will be delivered primarily via web conferencing.

An Introduction to the Wisconsin Student Number Locator System (WSLS) and the Individual Student Enrollment System (ISES) Data Collections:

This session will provide a brief overview of Delegated Authority, the Wisconsin Student Number Locator System, and the Individual Student Enrollment System data collections for Year End, Discipline, Coursework Completion, Third Friday of September and October 1 Child Count. Discussion will focus on available training resources, help desk resources, and the basic data collection timeline.

8/25 11 AM to 2 PM (Live Meeting)
9/7 7 AM to 10 AM (Live Meeting)

WSLS & ISES Updates for Fall 2011:

This session will cover updates for the 2010-11 Year End & Discipline and 2011-12 Third Friday of September & October 1 Child Count data collections. Challenges from the last collection and related suggestions for improving data quality will also be discussed. 2011-12 Coursework Completion updates will not be discussed in this session.

9/8 3 PM to 5 PM (Live Meeting)

The presentation handouts and slides will be posted the week of August 15th. A recorded version of each presentation will available in early September.
