Final ISES Data Past Due

This email is for districts that are unlocked. Locked districts can stop reading now.

As you know, final ISES data were due at DPI on Monday. Many districts with no errors or unacknowledged warnings have not yet locked their data. District lock is important because it tells DPI that you consider the data you submitted to be final. If you are not sure whether or not your district has locked, then you can verify this by checking the ISES Summary of Schools screen. If your district is locked there will be a date present following the text "Lock Date." Please lock your district ASAP. Refer to http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/esea030906.html for more details.

ISES has temporarily remained open because a handful of districts still have many ISES errors, but ISES must close. An email was sent today to superintendents in districts with one or more ISES errors remaining encouraging them to ensure that district data errors are corrected as soon as possible. As districts submit corrected data, corrected data may result in new warnings for unlocked districts. Note, for example, that changes to year end records submitted by these districts can result in new warnings about possible dropouts for your district. If your district is locked, then these warnings and other warnings require no response and need not be acknowledged. These warnings generated after your district has locked will have no effect on your final data.
