SUBJECT:	Updated Draft Enrollment Counts 2/18/05

Districts have requested updated draft 3rd Friday Sept 2004 enrollment counts. Here is another file containing these draft counts based on the WSLS data base yesterday.

We continue to find more Sept 2003 to Sept 2004 variation in 3rd Friday Sept counts than we expect and are aware that some districts and schools are still working to bring WSLS up to date. WSLS should cover changes in student enrollment status over time not just students enrolled on the 3rd Friday of September, but 3rd Friday of September enrollment counts are relatively important. Districts will need complete enrollment records for ISES purposes (not just 3rd Friday of September records).

We expect to announce implementation of ISES very soon. Our ISES contractor has delivered the system to DPI, but DPI is still testing the functionality. Once we are satisified that the system is working properly we will open the ISES system for use by school districts. This won't be until late next week at the earliest. When this happens we will send a mass email to all WSLS/ISES Administrators and Assistant WSLS/ISES Administrators. We will also activate the ISES application link on main ISES Web page: http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/isesapp.html
