SUBJECT:	DPI Coursework Completion System Communication

On Monday of this week (February 14th) we opened the CWCS for a small number of districts to pilot the collection. Though still early, this final testing is going well. We plan to continue with the pilot through next week and depending on what issues surface, we’ll publish an official opening date late next week.

Special Education Update:

We acknowledge that districts need information surrounding specifics on collecting information on students with disabilities. We want to ensure alignment between the purpose of CWCS and the outcome in regards to coursework completion for all students. Conversations with the special education leadership team are continuing. We appreciate your patience.

Training Update:

We have added two three hour Web Conferences to our list of training opportunities, both of which will cover the same materials as the on-site trainings.

• March 10 from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M.
• March 14 from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

We are also recording the on-site training scheduled in Madison at DPI on 03/09/2011 that will be available online for users for reference.
