ISES and WSLS Update
ISES TRAINING ISES training begins February 1. A memo from Rick Grobschmidt and Brian Wilmot to all WSLS/ISES Administrators is posted on the Web at http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/esea010505.html. The memo contains information about dates, times, location, and registration. Please plan on attending one of the ISES training sessions. Also include the staff person who will actually be submitting the ISES report. NEW FEATURES - DELEGATED AUTHORITY APPLICATION WSLS/ISES Administrators can now more easily update/correct their profile (email, phone, vendor) and appoint an Assistant WSLS/ISES Administrator. Current profile information is important for DPI-district communication purposes. Assistants share responsibility for reviewing and updating authorizations to access WSLS and ISES according to local school board determinations and privacy laws. ISES data are sensitive in addition to being confidential so access decisions should be made with this in mind. Updated instructions and more information are available at http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/delauthapp.html. WSLS WEB TUTORIALS On-demand WSLS Web-based tutorials are structured to guide you through each of the WSLS functions. Each tutorial is less than 10 minutes in length and special software should not be needed to play them. Simply click on the links provided on http://dpi.wi.gov/lbstat/wsntutor.html to run each tutorial. KEEPING WSLS CURRENT Please continue to work to update/correct WSLS data as needed. DPI will continue to periodically post draft preliminary enrollment counts (no links from DPI Web pages) for district review. Each revised set of draft counts will include a change in sequence number but will otherwise have the same URLs as the last set of draft counts. We expect a new draft to be posted next week.
